INDIVIDUALS
One-to-one counselling
Somewhere to say the thing you have not said out loud.
A confidential, supportive hour with the same counsellor each week. You set the pace, and you decide what you bring, stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, or something you have never said out loud.
A room where you both get heard, not just the loudest week.
Sessions for two people who want to understand each other better, communication, trust, a difficult period, or working out what happens next. Either of you can also be seen alone if that helps.

For people carrying something that has not settled, whether it happened recently or a long time ago. Trauma work is slower and more deliberate than general counselling, and it is a specialism our counsellors are trained in rather than an add-on.

I came in thinking I just needed to get through the week. I left with a way of understanding why the same thing kept happening, and it has not had the same hold on me since.

I nearly did not ring. The first conversation was easier than I expected, nobody pushed me to explain myself, and by the end I had a date in the diary.

We had been going round the same argument for two years. Having someone in the room who heard us both changed how we talk to each other at home.

Common questions
No. Most people contact us directly. If a GP, employer or support worker would rather refer you, they can use the referral form with your consent.
There is no set number of sessions. Some people come for a few weeks, others for much longer. You and your counsellor review it together, and you can stop whenever you want to.
Yes, with the limits every counselling service has, in line with the BACP Ethical Framework. We would only share information without your consent if there were a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, a safeguarding concern about a child or vulnerable adult, a court order, or information about terrorism. Wherever possible we would talk to you first. Your counsellor will go through this with you in the first session.
